''Shango'' is a major fixture in The West African Yoruba Religion. A ''Creator'' God, Shango is said to have once been a Human King in the 13th Century AD. After death He was deified. Shango controls Thunder, Lighting and Wind and is quick to anger. He is also invoked in rituals for Power and Dominance over others. Portrayed as a Human ''King'' (as He was in life), Shango carried two Battle Axes, which according to Legend He was Master of of in Combat. He was ''translated'' as ''Chango'' in The Santeria Belief System as a powerful God.
