The Ancient Syrians worshiped a Deity known as ‘’Shalim’’ as far back as 3,000 BC. A ‘’Creationist’’, Shalim was the personification of ‘’Twilight’’ (Dusk) and ‘’Dawn’’. It was within this Realm of perpetual semi-darkness, Shalim watched over all. The Ancient Syrians also associated The Planet Venus (visible as the brightest Star in The Heavens at Dawn), with Shalim. Other Middle Eastern Cultures adopted Him as a ‘’City Protector’’ Deity as well.
