Samebito

The Samebito were figures from Japanese Mythology – who were best described as ''Shark Men''. Their origins are quite varied, it seems. One – places them as being the first ''created'' by The Gods – to inhabit Earth. For some unknown reason, they were ''cast away'' for the creation of Humankind. Despite this, The Samebito harbored no ill will towards Man. Said to be peaceful, they had the ability to produce precious jewels from their tears. They featured in many tales from cautionary to morality. Green skinned with a humanoid body, their heads are similar to the predatory Shark. It is said they can live in both water and on land (but choose water mostly).
