Rongo

The Maori Tribe of New Zealand are fierce Warriors. They also have a very advanced and complex Mythology dating back thousands of years. One of their Deities is called ''Rongo-ma-Tane'' (or simply ''Rongo''). Responsible for giving The Kumara Plant to The Maori (aka ''Sweet Potato''), this was seen as a later food staple. Rongo also gave many other fruits and plants which ONLY grow in abundance in New Zealand. In this, Rongo was seen as favoring The Maori Tribe. Later in their Mythos, Rongo would also serve as one of their ''Gods of War''. It was believed that if One offered a ''cooked'' Kumara in honor of Rongo, One was successful in Battle.
