Another "wraithful" Spirit, a Revenant is traced to various Medieval beliefs. Said to be "resurrected" Ghosts of the Dead, they may be motivated to "return" to torment The Living, for no particular reason! In most cases, Revenant's are often previously evil or cruel humans, who cannot enter either Heaven or Hell. They present frightful visages, and are known to "frequent" the cemetery where they were buried. Sharing a similar removal practice of Demons (as in Exorcism), it was said to be vary difficult to remove a Revenant curse. Said to be attracted to humans who "have" what the Revenant did not in life, is one possible causes to their hauntings. Many Cultures have a Revenant legend or Myth.
