''Punishing Shoes''

Devised in 15th Century Germany, The Punishing Shoe was a clever and effective way to Torture (and even kill) a Victim. Metal shaped shoes featured several sharpened spikes built into the heel. A Victim had to stand on their toes to avoid Impalement. Eventually, the Victim would weaken and fall back – stabbing themselves. Long term exposure would result in blood loss and even death (providing one was not removed from the shoes – only to be put back into them later).
