A Parapsychological term originating in 1993 (in term of modernizing it) – ‘’Psychomanteum’’ is the practice of placing a ‘’Receptive’’ Person inside a dark room. Suspended at an angle – is a Mirror. In Theory, The Subject sits in a reclining position and gazes up and into said Mirror. The angle of the Mirror is such that, while The Subject can ‘’see’’ the Mirror ‘’reflecting darkness’’ (via a small candle for basic lamination), They cannot ‘’see’’ Their reflection. The Subject then ‘’clears Their Mind’’ and begins to try and make contact (communication), with a ‘’Spirit’’. The technique is actually many Centuries older, with a similar practice used in Ancient Greece, and related to ‘’Scrying’’. Some mainstream Psychotherapists used this method to help Persons overcome extreme grief. They stop short of any possible ‘’paranormal explanation’’, however.
