In Ancient Roman Mythology, ''Orcus'' was a Servant of The God Hades, who tormented those Souls in The Afterlife, who had broken a promise or vow. As such, Orcus would persecute them for all Eternity. He was described as a ''Giant Human-Beast'' with ''Wings and Horns''. In short, Orcus was very similar to the traditional Devil or Demon of later mythology. He would be incorporated into Art and later literature, as a type of ''Wild Man'' or ''Man Beast''.
