As we have seen, Japanese Culture is full of myths and legends of a paranormal nature. Often, unlike most other Cultures, Evil prevails and overwhelms Good in many of their Legends and Fables. The Oigakari is one such. Classified as a Yokai (or Evil Spirit), The Oigakari are not seen by the unaided eye. They hide along pathways and under bridges and wait for an unsuspecting human to wander by. Once a suitable victim is found (normally one who already has frets or concerns for the direction of their life), The Oigakari will jump onto the back of his or her Victim. The Victim will feel an unseen added weight, often bringing about back pains and headaches. Once the Oigakara latches on, they begin to feed on the person s negative energy. It is very hard to remove a Oigakari. It often takes many spiritual exorcisms by a Priest or Priestess. The most effective way however, is for the Victim to modify his or her mood and not be negative or worrisome. Often, The Oigakara, deprived of food will leave.
