From Canada and Lake Okanagan (British Columbia), is the myth of Ogopogo. The story and subsequent sightings of this Lake Sea Monster , go back many centuries. Said to be over 100 feet long, Ogopogo had 4 huge flippers and a long, finned neck. Native Americans to the Region thought Ogopogo to be a God - and would often make sacrifices to him. He has been sighted well into the 20th Century (with some photos and films thrown in for good measure).
