From Ancient Greece, Nymphs were said to be Elemental Spirits associated with woods, animals and nature. Different species of Nymph were said to exist. Some, (more human-like in appearance), while others have strangely shaped legs and are covered in fur. They are often confused with Fauns and Satyrs. They try to shun human contact (but were known to help lost travelers find their way). The Nymph's best defense was it's invisibility. Said to move about as a whirlwind , their backwash was said to be harmful to humans (sometimes causing madness). Not immortal, Nymphs live for thousands of years. There are Male and Female types.
