Namtar

A Deity of Ancient Mesopotamia, ''Namtar'' was a ''Death God'' (possibly Messenger or akin to an ''Angel'' of that function). Some Scholars associate Namtar with one of the earliest depictions of ''The Grim Reaper''. He conveyed Souls to The Afterlife of Kur. He is portrayed in Art as a ''Winged Being''.
