Nalusa Chito

The Native American Choctaw Tribe, have many Tales regarding types of ''Shadow Beings''. In all cases, these Being are regarded as ''Evil'' and ''Trickster'' creatures. One particular ''nasty'' is The Nalusa Chito. The Choctaw believed that these beings were created by The Great Spirit before The Choctaws. But they became ''self absorbed'' and cruel. As a result, they were made into shadow and banished into ''another realm''. No angered at being ''replaced'' (as it were), The Chito come into the dreams of people – in particular those with ''bad intentions'' – to ''take them over'' and make them commit ''bad''. Although they can be removed by a Medicine Man (via Exorcism), it was a very hard ritual to do so. The Chito are said to have ''pointed ears'' and ''slither as a snake''. Even the uttering of their name is a taboo.
