Mushussu

 From Ancient Babylon, Mushussu was a beast created by The Akkadian Gods to protect The Istar Gate into the Ancient City of Babylon. Sometimes referred to as The Dragon of Babylon , Mushussu had a serpent's body and the claws of a cat. It had wings (but could not fly). It's primary weapon was a poisoned stinger tail . It was kept chained to the Gate Pillar and would only attack strangers or enemies.
