Monaciello

 From Medieval Italy, The Monaciello were small (2 foot tall) creatures, human in appearance. They wore long robes and a large hat (to obscure their face). Said to be the Guards of ruined and abandoned Abbeys and Monasteries they take care of any hidden treasures on or near said properties. Although not necessarily evil The Monaciello are malevolent. They like to play jokes on humans who wander to near their territories . They prefer to steal bedding and take clothing.
