Moehau

From Maori (New Zealand) Legends, The Moehau was said to be a Sasquatch-type Creature, roughly 7-feet Tall. The Beast lived in The Moehau Mountains (hence it's name). The Moehau has similar traits to it's many more famous ''relatives'' of The World, to include being highly intelligent. The Maori state that the Cryptid is many centuries old, and if ''left alone'' it will not bother Man. However, consistent trespassing on ''His'' Mountain will cause Him to anger. Locally, many state that Moehau is nothing more that a joke, told to scare off Tourists and trespassers from Maori Territory.
