A Phoenician Deity, ‘’Marqod’’  was relative to ‘’Healing and Dancing’’ The ‘’Dancing’’ was seen by Historians as ''ritualistic’’ and necessary to ‘’invoking’’ Marqod’s ‘’attentions’’. His Cult can be traced to 2,500 BC in The Eastern Mediterranean and as far a Lebanon.  Dancing as mentioned, was reserved for His worship and NOT for pleasure (it seems).
