Another of Dante's ''Inferno'' Demons – ''Malacoda'' is Chief Guardian of Malebolge – which is the previously mentioned ''demonic''  Maze (Causeway) near The Eighth Circle of Hell. A particularly ''Evil'' Guard, Malacoda is noted for His unusually long Tail. This is used very much as a weapon towards tormented Souls (very much as a whip). He is also said to be found of throwing Souls into boiling Pitch, should they ''figure out'' a way out of The Malebolge.
