  From Sri Lanka, Mahasohona was a malevolent spirit who takes the form of a large dog with the head of a bear.. Often invisible, one knows he had been visited by the spirit by the large paw print normally found on one's body. Generally, the sensitive pass out when Mahasohona is in the area. It was said that Mahasohona was once a Prince who (with his War Dog) went into battle on day. Betrayed, he was killed in battle. His spirit now returns as Mahasohona. He harasses those who betray others.
