In various Tibetan Buddhist Sects, a ‘’Kapala’’ was used as a form of ‘’sacred vessel’’. A type of Cup (Gobblet), they were traditionally made from either Animal or Human Skulls in general construction. The Skull Cap was cut down and fitted in Silver or Gold components (with very little of the actual Skull visible). The Kapala held special fruits and fluids designed for consumption only by The Gods. In some Sects, The Kapala was used by Adherents, as a means of drawing close to One’s ultimate Spirituality. Most Human formed Kapalas were made from former Priests Skulls (seen as being necessary for Enlightenment).
