From Ancient Hawaiian Cultural Mythology – ''Kanaloa'' was a Deity who was part-Human and part-Octopus. Living in The Sea, Kanaloa was said to have been responsible for teaching Man (Hawaiians) who to c0nstruct and use Canoes for transportation and hunting. He became annoyed when Man began to use His ''invention'' for War. As such, He often attacked War Parties on The Seas.
