''Jack-in-Irons''

 From England comes the tale of ''Jack In Irons''. The story is Medieval in origin. Supposedly, he is a Collector Demon , that wanders the back roads at night. Described as 13 feet tall, he is covered in chains. He is human in appearance (but is often seen with Boar-like tusks extending from his face). He gleans the souls of wayward Highwaymen. The genesis of the name Jack Irons (which is similar to the term John Doe an unidentified person) derived from his legend. Just where Jack comes from or why he is cursed to collect the souls of Robbers is unclear.
