According to Japanese Yokai (Ghost) Theory – The ''Ikiryo'' is a type of ''Living Ghost''. In reality, these are more akin to The Western Theory of ''Out of Body'' Experience. It is said certain people can make their very ''Spirit'' leave their body to ''haunt'' or monitor others. As with The Western ''type'', should the ''living Host'' be killed while His or Her Spirit is ''free'', it will become forever unable to seek The Afterlife.
