A Greek Goddess, Hemera was the personification of Daylight. This is somewhat confusing as Hemera s brother Aether, was the God of Light is it speculated that the two were interchangeable at times. Hemera's was the offspring of Erebus and Nyx. In offering, if She was properly appeased good days with plenty of sunshine were well expected. This was important for farming and general work. If She was not, overcast days were present.
