The Legendary Weapon of The Norse God Odin, “Gungnir” was a magical Spear made by The Dwarves of Sif (Weapons Maker to The Norse Gods). The Spear was said to be ''many hundreds of feet long'' and possessed the ''ability to vanquish all who fell before it''. It was made from The “World Tree”or “First Tree” of The World. Like many of The God Odin's weapons, it could emit “thunder and lighting”. Mystical Runes (writings), are carved into The Spearhead of Gungnir, which can summon it. Odin gave this knowledge to the Hero Sigurd. In later Myth, Gungnir was used to break the Sword of The Hero Siegmund. However, Odin's Daughter Brunnhide shows Siegmund how to break Gungnir.
