From Ancient Greece, Eros was the embodiment of Love and Attraction. Said to resemble a young boy with wings, Eros carried magic arrows. The arrows would cause intense feelings of love to all who were struck . Eros power was effective against God and Mortal alike. He was often cursed by The Gods, whom often after they were hit by his arrow, fell in love with Mortals (and hence the creation of the Demi-Gods). The child of Ares (God of War) and Aphrodite (Goddess of Love). The later Roman Cupid (a fat Cherub), was based on Eros.
