The Roman Deity tasked with Land Fertility, Mineral Wealth and a section of the Underworld which separates Hades and The Earth, ''Dis Pater'' is seen as a Late Antiquity revision of Hades (Pluto). He was featured in Dante's ''Divine Comedy'' (16th Century), as a ''Prince of Hell''. In Imperial Rome, Votive Pillars dedicated to Dis Pater, were common – and found in Farmer's Fields.
