Dhat Badan

Worshiped in Upper (Northern Africa) among many Tribes – ''Dhat Badan'' was a Goddess associated with the scarce resources of an Oasis (in The Desert). Their ''growth'' of fresh water, plants and Trees (Date Palms), were attributed to Dhat Badan and Her ''favors''. Often, it was thought – that honoring Her while traveling, would ensure that an Oasis would be found (which often meant life or death). Her name was also associated with the term ''Sanctuary''.
