According to The Native American Navajo, The ''Black God'' is one of their oldest Deities in their Mythology. He was the Giver of Fire to The Navajo. Honored, He is also seen as a ''Trickster Spirit'', who often takes the form of an Old Man, who is helpless and poor. In this, when He takes Human Form, People will be generous to Him and give Him food and shelter. Should they not however – bad Luck will befall the person so ungenerous.
