Black Cat Bone

A Folk Magic (Voodoo, Hoodoo etc). Belief, a ''Black Cat Bone'' was an actual skeletal component of a Feline. Coming from a Black colored Cat, the entirety of the poor Feline was ''boiled alive'' in a pot of water, at Midnight. Stripped of it's flesh, a suitable piece of bone (femur, rib etc) – was selected and cleaned. Normally, a smaller piece was desirable so that the Bone could be placed inside a Mojo Bag. The Bone was thought to ward off ''Bad Magic'' (or Mojo). The Practice can be found in The Caribbean Region as well as certain parts of The American South.
