 Known by locals as Bessie , The Legend of The Lake Erie Monster goes back to 1793. Reported by European Settlers and Boat Captains on Lake Erie (Michigan), the creature is speculated on being a Saurian descendant of Prehistory. Like Moraq , Chessie or even Nessie - The creature has been steadily reported for centuries. Said to have a long 25 foot serpentine neck with a Dog-like head and face, Bessie is also said to be 75 to 100 feet long with a long tail (ending in a fin-like extension . She (or He) also has 4 large flippers. The creature has been known to overturn boats as well. There are several famous photographs and reputedly a film of The Lake Erie Monster in action. The last known sighting was in 1983.
