Bell, Book and Candle

The phrase of ''Bell, Book and Candle'' – was a common term given to the aforementioned ''Excommunication'' (which was The Catholic Ritual of condemning a ''damned'' Soul to just that.....Eternal Loss of Salvation within The Church! Perhaps the ''worst'' Practice that could be leveled against a Christian, it involved ''Closing The Book'' (Bible) on an Offender, extinguishing The ''Baptism'' Candle and ringing a ''Passing Bell – to symbolism One's ''death'' to The Church. Later, the term was applied and almost completely associated with The Occult and Witchcraft. The ''Bell'' summoned a ''Spirit'', The Book was a ''Grimoire'' (or Spellbook) and The Candle ''lit the way from The Spirit Realm into Our Plain of Existence''.
