A major thoroughfare which runs thru New Manila's Quezon City – Balete Drive is a very ''dangerous place'' to on at times. It is not for fast drivers or obstructions that one must worry, but for a particularly annoyed Ghost that haunts a portion of Balete Drive. Named for The Balete Tree, The Drive began to acquire it's reputation in the 1950s (although older Residents cite that the area ''had problems'' long before that). The possible Urban Legend states that a College Student was walking down The Drive one night, when a Taxi Driver stopped to ''offer Her a ride''. In reality, He was a Serial Rapist, who abused the Girl and killed Her to keep Her ''quiet''. From that point forward, ''She'' is still seen, walking down The Drive, searching for Her Killer. Should you ''see'' Her – you will have a vehicle accident at some point during your travels. Other versions state that one should NEVER pick up ''female strangers'' on Balete. IF it is the Spirit of The Girl – She will kill you! Many cite that The ''Legend'' was ''created'' to foster Tourist. The simple test.....Just Drive Down Balete Drive and SEE WHAT HAPPENS!
