Asrai

An English Myth, The Asrai were said to be ''Water Fairies'' roughly akin to The Nixie and Mermaid. They stood 2 to 3-feet in height and by nature are timid and shy Creatures. The Asrai have two appearances, depending on where in England they originate from. Near water, they have tails instead of legs and webbing between their hands. On land, they take on a more ''Human form''. Moonlight makes The Asrai grow in size. Further, they cannot abide Human vulgarity or poor manners. To touch an Asrai is also hazardous. One feels a burning wherever One touches an Asrai's skin. They have no specific magic to give and are often seen simply as Elemental Beings of Nature.
