Found in Ancient Greek Mythos, The ''Arae'' were said to be the personification of a Curse. This curse was initiated by The Dead (Spirit), against a living Human. Normally, this curse was due to that Spirit who had been killed or wronged (resulting in death), of the supposed Spirit. The Arae took the form of a Female Humanoid, often said to be the combination of several ''creatures'' (very much as a Cryptid). Te Arae could also fly and had but one purpose – to either cause the confession of the Offender, or death – whichever. The Arae were found throughout Greek Literature and often used as a form of ''cautionary tale''.
