Many of the 1,000 islands of Oceania – of which Micronesia is part, have a similar Mythology and related Gods and Goddesses. ''Anulap'' is a Deity associated with the inhabitants of Truk Island as The ''God of Teaching and Magic''. He is also seen as being The ''Divine Source'' or Creator. Having no real form, Anulap gave Man knowledge and wisdom. It was Man who ''forgot'' His lessons from Anulap is is now ''unhappy''.
