A Central Italian (Umbrian) Pagan Deity, ''Angitia'' was a Goddess who protected Her Faithful from Snake Bites (venom). ''She'' ruled all snakes with many small Shrines and Temples dedicated to Her. With the establishment of widespread Christianity, Her Cult would be abandoned, owing to the association of Snake with The Devil.
