In Ancient Greek Mythos, The ''Anemoi'' were a Class of Deities – associated with ''The Winds''. Later, They were also linked to ''Direction'' (again associated with Wind). Their Cult began in Mycenaean Culture, and The Anemoi were subjected to the ''Rule'' of The Wind God – ''Aeolus''. (5) Primary Anemoi existed. They were Eurus (Southwest Wind), Boreas (North Wind), Aquilo (Northeast Wind), Zephyrus (West Wind) and Notus (South Wind). There was also a sub-Group of Deities (13 in total), who ''assisted'' The Anemoi. In Art, They were often portrayed as Male or Female – all with large White Wings.
