''Altie'', The Altamaha River Monster

 Sometimes called Altie , it is a reputed Nessie -type creature seen in The Altamaha River, in Georgia (US). Reported by Native Americans as far back as the 15th Century, Altie is said to be a freshwater Plesosaur . Being 30 feet long and having the swimming abilities of a Seal or Otter, it has a long serpentine neck and 4 flippers (or fins). Altie is noted for it's extremely long tail. Described as green in color, Altie sighting have remained rather uniform over the centuries. It was reportedly last seen in the River in 2006.
