The Mayan Culture – which existed in South America from it's earliest of 2,000 BC to 1697 AD and it's destruction by Spain, had an extensive Mythology System relating to The Gods and The Creation of The Universe. Complex Temples and ceremonies exemplified such. ''Acan'' was a God of great importance with regard to the many celebrations held. God of Wine and the intoxicating effects thereof (which were seen as a blessing of Him), Acan was also the Protector of The Balche Tree, from which Ritual Wine was derived for that Culture.
