Abiku

From Africa, The Abiku are the spirits of young children who died before attaining adulthood. Their spirits are known to try and possess other living children, in hopes of fulfilling their need to grow up. Often, possessed children show signs of acting like the child spirit (when it was alive). It is best to allow the Abiku to finish it's task. Removal by a Shaman or Witch Doctor, could result in the removal of The Abiku at the loss of the soul of the living child (who may itself become an Abiku).
