Hi @Pally, welcome to StrongholdNation.

Unfortunately, as far as I am aware, there is no ability to change the hit-points or missile damage in Stronghold 2, as I believe they are hard-coded into the exe program.

However, it is possible to change the unit skins and weapons, so you will be able to change the colour .etc of the armour. Please see this tutorial on editing the unit skins: http://www.stronghold-nation.com/article/203-editing-dds-files

Let us know if you have any further questions! :)

It is make very complexly. I tried to find values hit points/damage (decompilation with IDA Pro exe+cheat engine), but so addresses values not found. Those types of modifications go far beyond my knowledge.

I have no Idea how to change hit points or arrow damage, but ive found a way making units shooting way more faster e.g. a crossbowman who just shoots as fast as a machinegun and every arrow is doing the same damage as before :)

How did you manage to change the firing speed? Even I have no idea how to do that.

I was also surprised with smaller range of crossbowmen when I started playing Stronghold 2, but on the other hand it was a smart decision by Firefly - in Stronghold 1 and Crusader 1 those are most powerful ranged troops, and when you have them on your castle walls, if you have stone supplies no one can do you any harm, they can cripple any army, and there's little other troops can do to them. :)

Its simple to make rapid fire crossbowmen:

go to your this computer/programmfiles x86/ firefly studios/stronghold 2/meshes/units

then you look for the file: hunter.uni copy and paste to desctop (or whereever you want) renanme it crossbowman.uni and make a backup of the crossbowman.uni file which is normaly in the folder and than copy and paste your new file into the dirctory.
