Oriental Empires pc game

Recommended Posts

This isn't my favorite setting to be honest but I am really interested in seeing how this turns out.

If this was medieval Europe it would be a instant buy for me.

Haarlem, The Netherlands ? April 16th, 2015 ? Publisher Iceberg Interactive is excited to announce that they have signed a worldwide publishing deal for the epic 4x strategy game Oriental Empires (PC). The game is currently set for a Summer 2015 Early Access debut on the Steam Platform.

Development of Oriental Empires is being led by R.T. Smith and John Carline, two veteran strategy game developers with more than 30 years? experience between them. Previously they worked together on the Total War series of games, in roles including Project Director and Lead Artist, and have credits on many other AAA titles from studios including Crystal Dynamics, Pandemic, Frontier Developments, and Slightly Mad Studios.

Oriental Empires is a turn based 4X style civilization-building game set in ancient China. It will feature both single player campaigns as well as a multiplayer mode. Oriental Empires covers the period from earliest recorded history, until the widespread adoption of firearms (roughly 1500 BC to 1500 AD) and aims to realistically depict the world of ancient China, with a focus on the unique aspects of that civilization. This extremely deep strategy game includes both an historic scenario on a realistic period map of China, and skirmish-style scenarios on random or user generated maps.

?We are extremely pleased to be involved in the upcoming release of Oriental Empires; it really is such a beautiful, deep and elaborate game that we can?t possibly list all of its intriguing features in one press release. There are also many detailed future plans for DLC, user generated content and other additions, so this game is going to be around for a long, long time. Gamers can rejoice and get their first taste of a very complex and compelling strategy game come the Early Access release this Summer. If you love strategy games, you can't afford to miss out on this one!?, says Erik Schreuder, CEO at Iceberg Interactive.

"We are delighted to be working with Iceberg Interactive, and very excited to finally announce our project Oriental Empires, which we have been quietly developing for some time", says R.T. Smith speaking on behalf of the developers.

Something I've always thought that would make game graphics much better and although it is a small thing, is different faces. For example, for each troops there are 4-5 different available faces, just to make the game seem more alive. I feel as if it's repetitive and simple with the same face, but that's just my opinion :)

The game itself looks great! :P

Interesting! On the first sight it seems like a combination of Total War and Civilization, I'm I right? :/

Regarding those details Mathew mentioned - I also like that in that game, and it does make it more alive. That is something I saw in Settlers VII for example. There you have three types of body for each unit type - when you look at your army you are able to that some of them are fat, some are skinny, some are tall, while some are fit (I'm not sure it this is the right word, but... I wanted to say that the last type seems strong). Of course, some have moustaches, some don't, etc. :)

Although it is far from necessity, it is something nice to see. :)

Yes, this is really interesting.

I am particularly intreagued by the thought of a turn based multiplayer mode.

From the text I am not quit sure that it offers that or if the mulitplayer covers only the battles. You know anything more about that?

In any case it seems to be an interesting title to watch.

Looks really nice. :D

If other people on this website are interested in strategy games based on that setting, I can recommend Fate of the Dragon and the Romance of the Three Kingdoms games. A bit different, but still worth checking out.

Hey guys! Many of us have surely noticed Age of Empires 4 being released recently. Usually there would be less reason to talk about it here; however, it got my attention that walls in Age of Empires 4 are more useful than in any other Age of Empires game before considering that ranged units can be sent atop the walls. This way, those units on the wall should receive only 1/3 of the damage, if I'm not wrong. It's still far from any Stronghold game, though, but I thought it's something worth our a

Hey folks, I've just completed the stand-alone economic mission, Calanais! It's something of a grind - you cannot grow or buy food apart from hops and ale, and there are no trees. You are constantly assailed by bandits. Your only economic recourse is to sell stone, keep your peasants drunk and religious, and tax them. The aim is to gain (and maintain for a period) a large population (118 at normal difficulty). The early stages of the game in particular are tricky. The bandits will

I have good news! :) One of the original fans of the mod sent the installation file. :) This is where you can download it from, but be aware, it is likely that your antivirus will detect it as a troyan. Right now I don't have the other PC of mine here, but I will have it tomorrow, so I will try it then.   Another issue is that they said it works with 1.3.1 version, so I am unsure whether this is going to with 1.4.1 version, but we
