Forum Moderation

Recommended Posts

I'm looking for a couple of people who might be interested in moderating a volunteer forum for my own forum software called Panther. It's currently being developed and is nearing beta.

You don't necessarily need to have programming knowledge, as you would just be helping to keep the spam out generally, but this is always useful if you wish to become a developer ;)

I'm quite happy to take any applicants if you're trustworthy, if you're interested shoot me a PM or reply to this topic for further info.

    • Mobile version of the forum?

Hi, I just meant to ask if there is an easy way to bring Stronghold Nation to mobile? That is, to make a mobile version of the forum, or perhaps to see if it can be visited by some of those applications for forums. We could see if we can visit SHN with some applications for Android, or Windows Phone/Mobile, or iOS. :) This may be great thing for some of us. I am going to try some of those applications tomorrow, but I decided to ask here a question about it. Has anyone else tried something like t

Please give a big congratulations to our latest team member and new Community Liaison, @Mathew Steel! Matthew has been a long standing forum member and has worked incredibly hard over the last few years helping us on the site. He's contributed some fantastic articles, downloads and is always a great addition to any discussions on the forum. I'd like to be the first to congratulate his fantastic contributions - thank you Matthew, and well done!! We look forward to working with you. :)   On anothe

    • Welcome to the new forum!

Welcome to the new forum everybody! :)   There are a few things you should note though. First of all, while the forum looks exactly the same, you can see a lot of differences. If you look at the URL, I've selected to use Search Engine Friendly URLS on the forum from now on, while performance may be slightly slower in peak times, it will be worth it.   The old forum URLs will still work.   Secondly, private messaging: unfortunately, despite several attempts now, I've have been unable to port PMs

    • Notification when there are new files in Downloads Central at forum

Hi, I just came to this idea... One way to this would be to have this notification on the top bar near "Private Messages" for example, and it would be "No New Files", when there is something we haven't checked yet, and there would be "There are 3 new files" if there are 3 new files for example.   Also Downloads Section could be displayed as a section by itself - not as a subsection of Site Questions and Support, and it could change the icon when there are new files just the way a section icon wo

    • Exciting changes! Forum restructuring

After considerable thought, we have implanted a few changes to increase topic visibility is certain areas and restructured certain forums.   In light of the fact that no topics were ever posted in the advanced discussion forums, there have been merged with the respectable game related forum.   Hardware support and software support have been merged with Computer Support (there just aren't enough topics there for separate forums yet).   Finally, The Crusader 2 Multiplayer: Siege-That! forum and G
