Interesting Outcome

Recommended Posts

I recently played a game of multiplayer where the host was very cocky and thought he was a super great player. Now the host made the game very difficult, 10 minutes of peace time with 500 gold. I tend to struggle with such options but I did my best.

Throughout the match the match the host was being mouthy, "you're gonna burn" or "this is so easy" as he killed the first lord he said "that was difficult for you wasn't it". He then moved his rather large army onto my base. Now with the lacks of everything I only had about 30 archers and 18 spearmen. He approached from the left and I saw that his castle was completely open and undefended. So with quick thinking I made 12 assassins.

I then sent continuous small groups of troops at the approaching army to keep him distracted, while my assassins went north to his castle. Just as he got near my keep, my assassins were already on his keep and eventually killed his lord.

You can see the review below:

As you can see although he was the Greatest Lord, he was not in fact, the greatest player.

This goes to show that from being cocky and thinking each match will be easy, you will not always get the outcome you think. And this goes for everything in life, self confidence is good, but when it gets to the point of cockiness, it's bad. Just be calm :)

Cool, that's why I love that they kept assassins in Crusader 2. :) They are keeping that element of surprise, and they, besides slaves as well I'd say, are few elements of the game that are making the game less predictible, which is really great! Also, it is really great when you manage to surprise your over-confident oponent. :)

I'm sure this was really fun game to you, and I'm happy you have defeated your way more powerful enemy. :)

Besides that, to guys such as Chris and I, this might be even more interesting, as we both love "Lord of the Ring" - we can easily relate. :)

Nice one :)

I like such multiplayer action. I had a player rushing with horse archers and shields. I hide my derwisches, waited and sent them after he was at my wall and won this fight.
