  1. It is fixed, thanks, Chris. :) Sure, no problem. :)
  2. Indeed, and if only others could see your fancy lord, that would be even greater. :)
  3. This seems really good. Count me in. I may not be able to test the map quickly because of my work, but I try to do it, and I would find that quite enjoyable. :)
  4. We shall see about that, but even if no ones else joins it will be fun. :) By the way, we could play Forest Realm map I made if you want. http://stronghold2.heavengames.com/downloads/showfile.php?fileid=2424 You can download it from here as well. http://www.stronghold-nation.com/downloads/category/stronghold-2/kingmaker/ @Lord_Chris, when I try to see the description I get a page with this message:
  5. Sure, I have already sent you one personal message here at Stronghold Nation. :) Well, I could play around 19:00 by Central European timezone. What about others? Is someone going to be able to join us? :)
  6. Thanks, Chris. :) We shall see about maximum number of catapults yet. In my opinion a player can defend from catapult attack relatively easily by using mangonels - if he has enough stone in the stockpile that is... I indeed managed to defend from bunch of catapults, in some battles I myself taught I won't make it, but in the end I did it. Catapults themselves don't hurt you so much, the problem is when the opponent manages to raid your workers - that's when catapults become a problem. For example, Banshee, I hope you remember that war with Nigel - what costed me my lords life the fact that you raided my stone quarries. Nigel was also doing his part in the north, I needed more wood when his archers started killing my woodcutters there. :)
  7. Oh yeah, we should test that. :D My castle wouldn't fall before six catapults. :D:cool:
  8. I agree with what you say about buying weapons. If we put a limit to to number of catapults and trebuchets, then players may have some more gold that they cannot spend. Regarding catapults limit, what do you say about this: 4 trebuchets or 6 catapults, depending of what the player uses? It would be in fact: maximum of engineers employed on those engines would be 12. I think it would be better, as trebuchets have greater ranger, though this could seem confusing to anyone new... :) Your rule is simpler to tell, and that is also important. :)
  9. I agree with Nigel, those borders for castle walls and towers are great idea. This way players need to build "real" castles, and not to simply attach their walls to edge of the map, or something like that. :) ADDITION: I have only one thing that might bother some of us, and it is how you make no rush time. You forbid to build barracks, but I think it is better to allow that. For example, someone may want to put their barracks inside the castle, and that cannot be done in any moment - you depend of those workers who walk their. I think it would be better to allow building barracks, and maybe even troops, but they shouldn't be allowed to leave the castle. That last thing about training troops before no rush period ends - both ways are good: building troops before the period ends and building troops only after it ends, both seem good to me. And throwing tools? Are those catapults and trebuchets? Don't you think we should allow more of them? Remember those battles with we had when you had some trouble besieging my castle with trebuchets, I defended with mangonels on my towers? :)
  10. I can tell you that you can contribute more than you think, as there are lots of map makers here. They all like having some feedback after they publish their maps, and often they need map testers. For example, if one makes a scenario, you can test it before it is submitted here to the downloads central. This way really great scenarios are made, but you also have fun. Besides that, you share your opinion about each version of the scenario with the creator, and this way you contribute a lot as the final version of the scenario depends of you as well. :) By the way, you said Saturday, but in the heading there is December 11th (and that's Friday). On which day would it be? I may be able to jump in on Friday evening maybe, but I'm going to have a lot of work this weekend. :( I stand with Lord Banshee, if you didn't have fun with Crusader 1 in multiplayer, you might find Stronghold 1 really interesting. Economy is slower in Stronghold 1, so it takes more time to build an army, and if you make a mistake and lose a lot of troops in a battle, you could be in a real trouble. :) On the other hand, I agree with what you say about Crusader 1 in multiplayer when it comes to those "pro" players. They just seek for most efficient way to win, and in my opinion that king of playing started to be only because of wanting to be the best, which is terribly wrong attitude - at least we can't argue with that when it comes to games. That's why I'm here, that's one of the reasons... While playing on GameRanger I was also visiting Stronghold Heaven and Stronghold Knights. With those guys from Stronghold Knights I had lots of interesting games - not caring who will win, or if map is perfectly balanced, etc... Later Stronghold Knights went down, but then Stronghold Nation came to be, and here we are again. :)
  11. Wow, I didn't notice that at first, brate. :D I hope we will stand side by side in some of Stronghold Nation gaming events. :)
  12. Welcome to Stronghold Nation! :) I am happy to see another fan of Stronghold joining the community. :)
  13. Oh, no, you should have taken this announcement away, now Micha saw it, and there is no chance for us to win. :D I'm just kidding about this one, of course. :)
  14. Any of those two. :) We checked stores in our city, and we haven't found a tablet or 2 in 1 device she would like. She wants a Windows device that she could use for work and carry with herself easily. Besides that she a Windows tablet for her father, which would have a SIM card slot, so he could surf the internet. He could use an Android tablet as well, but he prefers Windows as he already has Windows 8 laptop. I hope if there are stores in which we could search tablets that they have in offer, and order one that would suit her needs (and one that would suit her fathers needs). So, those would be two gadgets, just to be clear. :) Do you know any of those kind of shops?
  15. Welcome back, Crusader, nice to see you back! :) Oh, and yes, regarding that contest during 2016, I am getting ready my shiny armor. :D
  16. Welcome to Stronghold Nation, I'm glad to see the first sword of Westeros joining us. I never tried that, but unfortunately, I believe it wouldn't work in multiplayer. You would be able to see yourself as the specific lord, but others wouldn't. I never tried what you described, but I was playing with my custom crests, and if I wanted others to see my crest I would need to send it manually to others, and we would have to deal in advance which player I am going to be - first, second, third, etc... That with crests might work, but only if you and your friend put some time in preparations. :) As about changing the lord, another thing that could "go wrong" is that I think you would change not just your own lord, but other human lords as well. Someone correct me if I am wrong. It is unfortunate that it works that way, but luckily those games are fun either way. :)
  17. Hey, guys! I believe Mathew was speaking about these things before, but I can't find that right now. It was about buying PC's online. Now I wish to try that with a tablet. It would be for my girlfriend. The thing is that we don't have a huge choice of them in our city, so after trying to buy few other things online I taught I could also try this - perhaps I could find more easily a suiting tablet for her this way. Can you say if there are stores like that, and if you could tell some of them? I know you cannot guarantee for any shop, but you could tell me if there is any that is reliable in your opinion. Thanks. :) ADDITION: What do you say about Walmart? :D
  18. I congratulate both of you on your promotions, guys. :) Oh, and regarding the competition, it sounds awesome! Hmm, oh and that exam I need to pass these days - to the heck needs that!? :D I'm just joking, but I will try to participate, and I will let know some other friends of mine (from GameRanger) about this competition. It is great that you managed to make the prize for this! I will let people know at Slavic Warlords as well. PS: Nice bad a** castle in the background there.
  19. Well, regarding ordering stuff on internet, I admit it is a huge step for someone who hasn't bought anything online before. I was I that club recently, you may know that from my older posts. From recent time I am able to do something like that. I was very insecure, but by now I have ordered few relatively cheap stuff online, and it went fine with no issue. Please, check the personal message I sent you. I may be able to assist you. Oh, and feel free to ask any question regarding this matter, it would be a shame not to have 1.4.1 (that is, original game), as with it the game is really awesome! You would have everything you had and with no bugs or issues. :) Also, if this would become "how to buy a game" discussion, we should start that talking in another tread.
  20. Hi, guys! I have this question, because there is a game my brother likes to play - it's Euro Truck Simulator 2. :) The thing is that it's pretty cheap now, it's around 15 euro, and I could get it, but he's often away and without internet connection, so I am wondering would a Steam version be good for him? I hope it would - if he could play at least few weeks in offline mode. Thanks in advance. :)
  21. So, give us your best maps first. :D Just kidding, I mean, if you find some time for that, of course. :)
  22. I am glad to hear that. :) So, buddha, if you have lots of those edited maps, you can submit more of them at once, though it would be preferable to have each map in a single submission. I just understand that it would take time for you to submit each of the maps separately. Just mention that the landscapes are taken from other maps. Regarding landscapes, I don't think that they are less important. Some of us are more skilled when it comes to making a good looking landscapes, some of us have better imagination, and make better designs, etc... Plus, if I got that right, buddha wasn't scripting most of them, but still, he did add some interesting stuff into them. :)
  23. Well, if I got it right, what you didn't make there is landscape, but you adopted those maps for your games. Maybe @Lord_Chris could jump in, and tell us if it is all right for you to submit your maps? I agree with you. Although making fine landscapes is fun in Stronghold 2, when you want to make a good looking map for your multiplayer game (or singleplayer), you just want it done sooner. There is a lot of work to do, when you are about to make a detailed Stronghold 2 map - at least compared to Crusader 1 or Stronghold 1 maps. I also need to underline that this applies for maps that were made by myself and that I consider fine - when it comes to maps made by @Strife for example, well, those are made with lots of patience and care, and lot more skill than I have. :) I am sad to hear that neutral troops are not possible to be made, but still, there are things we can do regarding that. I have come to an idea - to have a four player map with a large deserted castle in the center which was later taken over by the outlaws... This castle would be having stone walls, and lots of (but not too much for army of archers and armored units) outlaws which wouldn't be removed easily, so rushing wouldn't be possible. What other things about this? I could also make five deserted castles around - the large one in the middle, and four smaller ones so players could have more routes to attack each other. :) If you want to try, we can see if I can join your game, or if you can join my game - tell me when it suits you. We can do it in few minutes, and then return to our usual duties. :)
  24. Just like you were telling me those stuff before, I am saying it here - if someone wants to get it, but the prize was the problem. You ca get it for 8,74? on Steam until December 1st. ADDITION: Oh, now I noticed that Nigel did this same thing before me. :) Well, then I will brag a little how I bought the four DLC's today. :D True, I won't win those campaigns any time soon, but hey, I have them now, and that what matters. Chris, sorry for double tread, I should have taken a look, and not just that - now I remember that I am one of those who read his first message.
