Thanks, Chris! :) I just do my best. :)

So, here I come with few shots from Ostrava, Czech Republic. :) And few more shots from Budapest, Hungary. :) And few more from my city. Interesting how I was away for only few days, and the moment I arrived I noticed how everything turned green in my country, while in Czech Republic most of the trees were still like in winter. :) Oh, and I could share a picture of myself too, since we've known each other for years by now. :) EDIT: Oh, and guys, I hope you could make few shots and share them as well, it would be interesting. :)

Few more spring shots from myself. The first picture is from Danube Park, I'd say it's by far the prettiest park in my city. I may take few more shots there later. The second one is Boulevard of Mihajlo Pupin, I did have a shot of it as well, but now it's on completely different weather, so I though it might be worth posting. The picture was taken right before the Danube Park. And the third picture, flowers on a young apricot tree behind my house. That's the window of my room that can be seen on the picture.

Sorry for replying somewhat late. Actually, you were closer with the second one, Liberty's Kids. That's more like it, but it's still not it. :( The theme song of this cartoon I was referring too had the word "America" so many times appearing in it. Now I feel so bad that I didn't understand English well back than, so I really don't know what the theme song was, but it was something like "tana nana na America, tana nana na America...". :D I mean, who knows, maybe the theme song wasn't in English at all. :( But I don't remember the song being childish, or something like that. If you have any other idea, that would be awesome. :)

Sorry for late reply. I still haven't managed to come back to that, but there is still time for that. Yes, Chris, I do know that stuff, though I did notice that you have reworked it. I was just hoping that there may be an article in which these stuff that I need would be explained. :) Regarding units walking bellow the bridge, not only this is possible, but we cannot prevent units from the bridge to access the ground below the bridge. That is what we can notice even on canyon bridges made by other map makers. In my maps case troops can walk below the bridge, and if there are more bridges one under the other, then you could send your units to any level of this canyon bridge. Damn, I would love if Firefly gave us real canyon bridges. :) The bridges and the entire map was built with the version 1.4.1. But I feel like you may have misunderstood something. The map works great as it is, and these issues I was talking above are present on any map with high bridges, even on maps made with the version 1.3.1. I don't actually have an issue with bridges right now, but with making rivers crossable with no bridges. I mean, I don't think that anything is wrong with the method described in the article Bridges Over Canyons fix for 1.4.1. What can be seen below is the only side effect, but it doesn't make these troops stuck. Only the AI lords won't move their troops from there, but it was a human player, he would just have ordered them to move on, and they would move on. They wouldn't even stop right there. The above side effect is the reason why I want to make rivers crossable at those same points where the bridges are. But like I said, I may be able to do it. As I have figured, the tool for making river crossable in the default way is bugged, but if that is the case, then we my map could give us the answer how to get a workaround. By bugged, I mean the following: when one tries to make a river crossable at one point, the river becomes crossable everywhere. This way we could make a river crossable at exactly one point. I remember Vetka used to have this issue when he once made a river crossable everyone instead of at only one spot, and he later on fixed it. And I remember him having this on more than one of his maps. But I also remember him using the version 1.3.1 quite often. :D

Hey, guys! Recently I have managed to find one cartoon which I really liked as a kid. It's this one, and it has been translated in Serbian as "Discoveries Without Limits". It is, in a way, a documentary. Quite interesting, two kids having a question in the beginning of the episode, coming to their computer, and then a purple genie called Jinni would come out of the computer and start explaining stuff to the kids. But later I saw that this cartoon is not the only one I was looking for. There was another cartoon, and this one was specifically about America and its history. I am a 90's kid (I was born in 1989, and I used to watch this cartoon in the 90's), so I believe is a cartoon from late 80's, or something like that. They have covered many topics about American history (by America I mean the two America's by the way, or at least I think this was about the two America's), including Vikings exploring North America, and native American cities, cultures, etc... Unfortunately, I don't remember much from this series, I don't remember any names, and even though I would recognize the intro song of the cartoon, I don't remember the text of the song. I hope some of you could help me to find out what cartoon this is. :) Just give me some suggestions about some cartoons on this topic, and hopefully at least one of your suggestions will be the one I would love to find. :)

Thanks for your reply! I will look into all that tomorrow, it got pretty late over here. :)

This is the map. :) https://www.stronghold-nation.com/downloads/file/425-tri-reke/ I love those bridges, I also put a lot of effort in figuring out how to make them, in which Tokamaps helped me a lot. He showed me how to do it actually. But downside of these high bridges is that AI lords' troops by the time get "stuck" below these bridges. Well, these troops don't actually get stuck, but AI lords just don't order them to move on, or to move elsewhere. That's why I'm trying to replace these high bridges with passages.
-
Well, I would love if I was able to make a rather wide passage over a river, like I would be able in Crusader 1 or Stronghold 1. Unfortunately that doesn't seem possible to do here, but I shall wait for Chris to arrive and tell us what is the tutorial he referred to in the above mentioned article. After I see what are all the possibilities, it may turn out to be that this is a friendly bug. :) I will experiment a little bit more tomorrow or the day after. What I have described happens only on the map Tri Reke which can be downloaded from the downloads section. But who knows, maybe it happens on other maps too. I just won't have any time to try something more about this today, as it got pretty late here already. :)

Hi. I was on my way to edit my map Tri Reke. That's the one with canyon bridges. They are really interesting, but for better playability it might be better if I made passages over these rives. So I don't want to make bridges on low ground below the hills, I want to make these passages. Then I noticed that the tool for that (see above) doesn't work the way I expected, and then I came to this website, and I read this article. What bugs me now is this paragraph about the above mentioned tool. I believe I shouldn't use this tool "directly" then, but in another way, as described in another tutorial, but I can't find that tutorial anywhere. Can you point me out to this tutorial, or to say what it is about? Thanks in advance! EDIT: I hope I'm close to solving this issue. It appears that there used to be several issues here. One of them could be access to the river not being completely flat, and the other one: it appears I cannot mark the part of river, which was below a high bridge, crossable. I'm not sure about any of those though. :) And now I'm getting back to business. :) SECOND EDIT: This turns out to work quite strange. After I delete these bridges, it appears that it doesn't matter where I mark crossable water. It would always be crossable to the left and to the right of the deleted bridge, but not directly below the bridge. I may use this in my favor. Unless I am mistaken. But maybe not today, I will have to finish something else first, but hopefully I will come back to this this evening. If nothing else works, I would make bridges in these valley's instead of the high bridges. That would do, though that wouldn't be what I originally wanted.

Welcome to Stronghold Nation! I could say that any Stronghold game has its community which plays the game in singleplayer and multiplayer as well. Even Stronghold 3 has its players who play it even in multiplayer. That is a good game too, pity many have given up Stronghold 3, in its own way it is the most advanced Stronghold game there is. Well, every Stronghold game is original in its own way, and from today's perspective it is a good thing that we have many different games, and none of them is an attempt to revamp an old game, so we are able to pick the one we like most, and enjoy it no matter what is the release date. :) You say that developers have left the game, or something like that, but I don't feel that way. I feel like Firefly is pretty much dedicated to their Stronghold games, though their priorities may not match out wishes. Truth to be told, I haven't found any time to play Crusader 2 lately, but I don't remember it having some critical bugs which need to be fixed. Am I wrong? If you meant about new DLC's, I am really happy to see them focusing a little bit on Stronghold Legends and Stronghold 2 to bring us Steam editions of these games. I cross my fingers for them to give us at least few of those things we were missing in Stronghold 2. :) As for me, although I still prefer Crusader 1, Crusader 2 is really interesting too. Its warfare is somewhat simplified, but it does have many other good sides (while having laddermen not being one of them :P ).
-
Congratulations to both of you, guys! :) Yes, I haven't met Mezzy yet either, but I guess he just has some more time to play, and don't stick so much with us historians and philosophers (which I would prefer to call veterans :P ) who "only" wonder around these forums telling their opinions, stories from history, and even stories from great battles from Stronghold games. :D It's great to know there are more of us here, and it is something that we have already known that communities such as this one can have plenty of valuable members who mostly stick to downloads section. Oh, and Crusader, stickify the History Thread, now is the time. :D
-
There are similar issues with Crusader 1. In such situations certain AI lords would just mass their troops, but do nothing. I admit, it's still somewhat different in this specific case. I mean, it is stranger in this case when he doesn't even try to do any damage with his siege equipment, or try to dig with any troops capable of digging he's got. Still, what I would do in this specific case is trying to ally him with somebody who has no issue with moats, such as William. Maybe the cause of this issue lies in the the fact that Hammer uses knights, which cannot dig.
-
Congratulations, Mathew, I'm happy you made it. :D And I agree with Nigel. :) Only don't buy a Zastava, haha. :D
-
Still waiting for Stronghold 2 Steam Edition... :) Does anybody here have any news I might have missed maybe? :)
-
Yes, 5 wood is 20 gold in Crusader 1, but what I meant is that in Stronghold 2 those guys may be faster in producing crossbows. I haven't tested that, but I assume that's the case, because in Crusader 1 crossbows don't bring gold that fast, although in addition to taxes and other things producing and selling crossbows does boost the economy.
-
Yes, I do know it is the same when it comes to price. Quite interesting, so in Stronghold 2 this gives even more gold than in Crusader 1. :)
-
You can also try with Photobucket. From there you can just use a tool to copy the bb code of the desired picture. The downside of Photobucket is it has a lot of add banners which can be annoying if you don't have a powerful PC. Maybe Postimg is better in that regard.
-
That things with crossbows is great in Stronghold Crusader 1, but I am not sure how much it is applicable to Stronghold 2 economy. Maybe it is, but I just feel that the best way to sustain gold in Stronghold 2 is to reply heavily on your villages, to get food and everything from your villages, and to produce some weapons in your castle, and have those buildings such as church, inn, musicians guild, etc. with which you can set high taxes and earn honor. Plus, in Stronghold 2 one can build farms wherever they want. :) But your way does seem really interesting for managing economy in small estates. :)

Alternate Transylvania? (and other alternate campaign maps?)
EaglePrince replied to Jimb011's topic in Stronghold Legends
Oh dear, I wouldn't expect catapulting warewolfs into a castle is possible. God gelp the defenders. :D -
Here are few more shots from me. It has become a lot warmer by now. Boulevard of Mihajlo Pupin in Novi Sad. (The boulevard was build during SFR Yugoslavia, that is after WWII, and it bears name of a famous Serbian scientist.) In the background of the first image you can see the Petrovaradin Fortress and its famous clock (which can also be seen on my older pictures of the fortress), while on the second one you can see a large white building we call Banovina. It is the seat of the Government of Vojvodina (the northern Serbian province). It was build in 1930, and in that time it served is the seat of Dunavska Banovina (Danube Banovina) during Kingdom of Yugoslavia. Speaking about banovina's of Yugoslavia... As you all know, Yugoslavia consisted of a many nations. The country needed to be divided somehow for easier government, but they didn't want to divide the country by ethnic borders, but by regions. They were hoping that this would keep the country more stable. Have a look at this map. Later I shall post more images of Banovina. And again, the building of Petroleum Industry of Serbia, but by much better weather. :) (For no specific reason, it was really nice weather and I wanted to take a shot. :) ) Sent from mTalk on Windows 10 phone

The right to have another presidental ellection in the USA?
EaglePrince replied to EaglePrince's topic in The Open Castle Inn
Very interesting reply, Charles. I agree with all your observations. Now I better understand what you wanted to say about Ottomans trying to "ottomise" Balkans. They did attempt to do it, only they were not as cruel as ISIS for example (am extreme example). About claims that somebody has to know Arabian to understand Quran. What I said, I said it because I have heard a lot of contradictory things from different sources, so I don't trust to anyone. And I would add also this. In my opinion, when they say "you cannot understand it unless you learn Arabic" it is "you cannot understand Quran in English unless we have brainwashed you enough for you to understand it the way we want you to". I'm sure that there is a standardized translation of Quran, and if I were to read Quran, I would read it in Serbian. And I would make sure that this translation is standardized (official) as you say. Even the word Kafir... They have so many offensive words for us, and that is one of them. That also says a lot. -
The right to have another presidental ellection in the USA?
EaglePrince replied to EaglePrince's topic in The Open Castle Inn
I didn't manage to write a full reply again, so before reading what you said... I also wanted to say that it can be dangerous for a country or a nation to accept immigrants in too large numbers - large enough for them to become a significant part of the countries people. Or if they have potential to become a large part of countries people by having more children. As history has shown us many times - this can even result in a civil war, a country losing a part of its territory, and even with their people being driven away from that land. (So many examples from Balkans for that, sadly. And FROM ALL SIDES.) Now back to reading. :) Sorry, I'm from mobile, that's why I write like this. :) ADDITION: Mathew, let's just not forget how their culture used to be during Arabian Empire when they did the fine job in keeping the knowledge which would have been lost if there weren't them. Also there were some female mathematicians in Arabian Empire. But, like I sad, that doesn't matter now, now bad things you mentioned are common there. And like I said, you may be right, but to say truth, as somebody who have learned several foreign languages, even translating something word by word can give you bad translation. Though, it really doesn't matter, as this thing works in both ways, not just one. As much religion can effect the people, even more religion is effected by the people themselves. SECOND ADDITION: And to clarify what I stated about diversity as a possible problem. I mean it can be a problem if those people don't adopt, but they rather stick together. And it is definitely a good things when there are many different people, but they all feel as one. For that to happen, the newcomers need to be willing to accept the values of the people who already live there, and the people who live there has to be willing to accept the newcomers as equal. If this doesn't happen, I think that then there will be differences in opinions among the two or more sides - including about very important matters. -
The right to have another presidental ellection in the USA?
EaglePrince replied to EaglePrince's topic in The Open Castle Inn
You may see me as one who ignores facts, but I don't believe people when they cite Quran, or Bible, or whatever that sensitive. To be sure in that I would have to be able to read Arabian language which I don't. The reason for that is what you say may even be intentionally made mistranslation or misinterpretation for whatever reason. Maybe in its core it is a violent religion, which I don't believe, but what actually matters is the people. If they progress as a civilisation, so will their faith, just like in Europe. If they fit some reason become more violent, so will their faith, and same if they become peaceful. But we do agree about the fact that it is dangerous to accept those people as the current state is. Even though Islam in my opinion is not violent, many of them are, and like I said above, I came to that even in mosque's they recruit young people to join ISIS, and so on... Right now, as the current state is, they are very insisting on their customs which are oppressing, and we certainly don't need that in Europe now when European nations have advanced this far. And sorry for my post above being somewhat confusing, I didn't manage to finish it, but I did say almost everything. There I wanted to say that their people may not dislike Christians because of different faith, but because they may be blaming us for something. (Not my country in particular, but still...) But still, as it is right now - they are very insisting on others to accept their faith and their customers, and it's driving us all crazy. So, don't get me wrong. I agree that even EU should take care more about this matter just like not it's the case in the US. But if their countries developed culturally, then they would be different too, and we would have problem with Islam. And there is another thing. Diversity. In general... Is it good out is it actually bad... I think that for a country it is the best to assimilate the newcomers. I'm proud of diversity in my region, but that can be dangerous too in some situations, especially when it's diversity in faith. (ehm, Bosnia...) -
The right to have another presidental ellection in the USA?
EaglePrince replied to EaglePrince's topic in The Open Castle Inn
I'm sorry for going off topic now, but I still don't see how people keep saying Islam is a violent religion. You have example how those two spreaded. But Christianity wasn't states religion while it was spreading over Roman Empire, while Islam was in Arabian Empire from its beginning. I think those two cannot be compared - at least when it comes to their beginnings. While in the very beginning Islam was indeed spreading peacefully before Arabian Empire. And one cannot say that Christianity didn't spread by force, because - what then about Crusades against Pagan Lithuanians, or even against Orthodox Christians. (Maybe they were not official, but it happened.) About Ottomans, yes, but you cannot say that they have islamised Balkans. They had 500 years for they, and yet Muslims are in minority here. And there were even less of them during 19th century. Simply, for one to have many if the benefits it was necessary to be Muslim, but as you can see, most of us didn't choose this option. And about Islam... You may say it is oppressing and violent religion, but for do you explain then that women were not covered 50 years ago. In Bosnia before the 90's there were no covered women, while now there are. Similar to Middle Eastern countries. It is people who were driven into hopeless situation, and then some of them became this violent. Because of Russia, the USA, and their allies. *FIXED THIS PARAGRAPH Just look at my county. We all used to love the USA, but after the Merciful Angel many came to hate the USA and England, and to consider them as the ones who hate us and who mean us no good.
