You guys are going to have a hard time topping those sigs in the future, nice sigs! Lord Chris, your sig has a great look to it with the red streaking through it and the Legends feature in the middle, the only thing I might think about changing is the name, move Chris to the right side leaving the feature open.

I like to put the Guards post close to the huts but between the huts and granary, and close to the court house, then I usually put in 3 gibbets, I find it creates a nice cycle of detention, now you don't have to worry about crime it takes care of itself. I used to use flogging rack but you need a Executioners guild, keep it simple! The thing about crime is that the criminals go from the huts to the granary and back, you want to have your guard post between the huts and granary and have him close the courthouse, think efficiency, don't make him run to far! As for punishments that's up to you, do you want to deal with crime immediately or just let it run the course, like I said above 1 guard post, one worker! If you do it the slow way then you would have 2-3 buildings out of work all the time, not a big deal. Popularity can be reduced by crime but it's to easy to get popularity to worry about it.

Google has an add on that is called "Lightbeam" it shows where you have been on the internet, day by day or for the week or since you have used it, not quite what you are looking for but similar.

The only thing a separate account will do give you another account which is a good thing to put money into for online purchases, but it should be linked to an online bank service like an e-wallet, like PayPal, Net-teller, Instadebit, the account you use for internet purchases still has your personal info which will lead to all of your other personal information. I checked the reviews for MMOGA and most are good, more for the games, there are people complaining about buying gold and having problems, they just run an affiliate service where you pay them and they give you a code to download from Steam, at a lesser price. Call me cautious, but I think I will let a little time go buy before I make the decision of where to buy the game, maybe do a little more research. Thanks for the help!

Thank you very much, I do like the site myself and will more than likely buy the game from them, I will try and email them again and see how things go with the virus before making the purchase though.

I found a site that is selling SHC2 for 41.29 Canadian, it's "MMOGA.com" I sent them an email asking about the virus and what setup they use for the site, to bad I could not get past the stupid captcha, easy to read and I got it right about 4 times but...anyone know anything about this site?

What about making a purchase online using an already setup online bank service like PayPal or Net teller, they already have your information secured and I would think they would be safe to use to buy SHC2.

All good answers, my method of madness is to place 2 apple farms and 8 hunters posts, they bring their own pheasants, and as I get more wood I will start wheat farms usually 3-4 then a mill and then 6 bakers to start with, this is good for a medium population, I might add in dairy if I have the room and want to make leather armor. This gets my people fed and allows me to up the rations and gives me gold from several sources as I get going I would add in the Lords kitchen, the Lords kitchen does not feed your people, pigs are good for gold, get some wine going and gold is more than enough, along with wood stone iron and the many other things you can build to make gold. This will not do in multi play, you need a lot more to have a chance, but a good start, get bread going in an estate will add to economy as well, watch players spam estates for goods when playing online. I agree so far about bread the way to go in SHC2, another way to make easy gold is to make candles, they are self contained and make loads of candles, put in 6 of them and watch the gold come in.

Well I hope to do well by you EaglePrince, the editor in SH3 is hard to use, but I did manage to make a decent map so... we will see when I do finally get the game. You have done well with the Crusader editor, I can see you making good maps for SH2 and SHC 2:-)

I went to a couple of stores yesterday and found nothing, they don't seem to sell PC games in the stores now, they have a few but will not be getting the new Crusader 2. I'm not fond of the idea of having to buy it online, any suggestions of where I would look. Chris you ordered yours, and you are waiting, are getting a boxed version. I guess I could get from Steam but...

But the editor will be like SH3, separate from the game? Nigel you had me excited there for a minute, when I saw your pic I was thinking you were going to tell us you found they included an editor for changing buildings and sprites of sorts. nice to see you did find the rotation, digging into the game already, that's cool! I look forward to playing around with the editor:-) Hope to see more.

And I guess I better get to posting it soon along with the other maps I have to post here, fall is here now and I will have more time now. But now there's Crusader 2...:-) Glad to see someone with some game, I hope you can find the problem, it is sutle.

I was asked the other day about the game versions. I know we have version 1.0 which can be updated to version 1.1 and version 1.2 which can now be updated to version 1.3 HD, but the question was, could he update version 1.0 or 1.1 to version 1.2 or is version 1.2 a stand alone version? His concern is having maps made in version 1.2 crashing version 1.1, some do some don't.

Hey EaglePrince, very good of you to start a thread about my map, Thank You! This was meant to be a large fun map with no time limits to play at your own pace, the comments I got on this map say that I got it mostly right, it is a fun map to play, I have played it more than a few times. I wanted to show how you could use the villages in SH2 to make a fun map, acquiring goods and moving them around is something you will find on more than a few of my maps, along with ques changes and a need to change the Ally status to win the map, making the large tribute makes you use the villages, you have to use the whole map., and most of your brain for a few entertaining hours! I really like the beach area and the castle setup, a few gardens and fancy trees here and there, the river was a labor of love, I have been to rivers like it, western Canada is an amazing place for natural beauty. Here's a bit of a challenge for anyone interested, there is a natural error on the map it shouldn't do what it does, can you find the problem? I noticed the problem well after posting the map, it's not a big deal just not natural. I'm glad you enjoyed my creation, if you want more you know where to look, if you want unusual I have 2 maps that are not made as war maps but are made with the editor, one is a maze with sub games to play and the other is a chase game where you run through sets of lanes to the finish with enemy troops chasing you all the way, the maps are called "A Kings Game" and "Run" and they both have a bunch of eye candy. Just trying to have some fun:-)

Thanks EaglePrince, I do like making maps, the more natural the better, thanks for starting a new thread about this map as well:-) Yes Nigel, you can play in what ever version you want, Like Chris said you do have to reinstall to change back down to a lower version, I'm working on a way to have 2 versions installed at the same time, When I came here we thought it best to use version 1.3.1, but that created some problems, like my last map posted "Dirvene", I started that map in 1.4.1 and changed to 1.3.1, that map went through some major changes before it would work properly in version 1.3.1, I have updated to version 1.4.1 and will stay there until I manage to get my dual boot working and can have both versions working. The maps play properly with all versions, but the tinting can look strange from one to the other.

If you would like to see a cool river download "Castle Fedron" at HG, you would probably like to play the map as well, it should be viewed in 1.4.1 though, the tinting gets messed up in 1.3.1.

I don't use moats myself, I find it makes the game to easy, and moats in the desert...but there is plenty of water on the maps! Now pitch on the other hand is very useful, it saved me many times although I don't use it much, I find pitch and traps a one hit wonder, that you have to maintain a lot, range units on towers works for me most of the time. Attacking the walls with melee units is great after you clear the towers, I find it to easy so far. Right now I'm working my way through the AI characters from the easiest to the Wolf I guess, I went against the Rat first then 2 Rats, then the Shah, then the Shah and a Rat, then Sultana, then Sultana and the Shah, now I'm playing against the Caliph, they are very easy, and I'm testing the economy as well, we could use some better skirmish maps though.

I know when I get around to making maps I will be posting them here, good to see a place for them. Nice sig there EaglePrince and the shield looks great to. Gee that landscape looks familiar.:-)

Does the editor come with the game or is it a separate download?
