@Lord Vetka is the only person I know of to have successfully created a SH3 map, it's in our downloads section here Kingmakers are probably my favourite maps, but in multiplayer they're better - AI are so predictable and easy, it would be better if they were more unpredictable If you get stressed with the SH2 editor, try doing some PHP - that really is stressful! :S

I'll be a bit late today, if you'll allow me to be - I'm doing my ice bucket challenge in about 45 minutes and I'll want about fifteen minutes of cooling off time after that. Tomorrow I can play no problems.

I saw that whenever I brought them in, you just targeted them and nothing else until they were destroyed - and I was so busy getting in behind your castle that I kept forgetting about the ones next to your gate and leaving them for you to destroy, then buying new ones and it was a vicious circle :rolleyes:

We'll definitely need a rematch sometime now I've found an efficient way of dealing with them using fire ballistas.

You probably caused more damage with those pesky horse archers than I did with all my knights in the end :)

A great topic indeed! This deserves a sticky and a rep point from me - Thanks very much for sharing :) I manage to do that - but as soon as I start sieging, it just goes straight down and I can't get it back up. Maybe having 5000 in reserve would be a good move.

'Bots' are automated programs that scour websites, some good i.e. Google, some bad - spambots - the google bot being online is what makes our site appear in google because it's checking our site to see what's new, it happens to all websites but some log them as guests instead of bots. The same for the baidu spider, that makes our site appear in the baidu search engine. The "PHP" bot appearing online is a side effect of the server cron job which changes the quote on the main site every hour.

At the moment, you can't as it's based on what you're currently on when you post. For example, @EaglePrince has sometimes shown being on Windows 7 and sometimes unknown (probably his phone) so it would be very hard to use that for your profile. But I'm happy to remove/replace some of the messaging section of the profile with a slot for OS details and browser (if we have space for the browser) EDIT: Check where the Yahoo! messenger was before, it's now operating system.

ok, I'm thinking about a few more ranks in and replacing the staff titles with those as well so everyone is equal, how would the sequence increase after 511?

I like SH2 the best because of several things, such as the way the map editor is so easy to create maps in and the triggers/events are very easy to add. I think it's the fact it's so easy to modify that makes me like it so much, and the fact it's relatively easy to do well in it. I like the new additions to that game as well and the resource limits - the only thing I don't really like is the saw pits - I much prefer the wood camps out of Legends. This is a complete contrast to the SH3 editor, which is a nightmare - I've never really been able to get anything done in that - though in all fairness, I haven't really properly ever played SH3. The people who can get things done in that editor are just geniuses.

Hmm. What have you installed on it recently? Depending on whether or not you have batch files running, there is a command that shuts down your computer after a certain time (I daresay there probably will be with other programs as well) You can disable batch files through the MMC (Microsoft management console) in Windows xp, 7 & 8 professional and ultimate - I'd start there. It also stops batch files from being installed/added on your PC without your knowledge so it has no downside really.

What's the matter with it?

I'm pretty sure it will be - they've had the time to develop it, and unlike SH3, they weren't rushed into releasing it by the press because they are self-publishing it. There are some things better about SH3 (such as the graphics and the fact you can rotate buildings so they don't have to be placed in squares), but there are also lots of bad. For example, the editor in SH3 is always crashing and is very hidden. The free build mode is ok, but it isn't as good as the one in CivCity Rome and it can get a bit monotonous after a while. It's not like SH2, SHL, SHC where you can constantly replay them, but you can occasionally play it.

It is slightly disappointing since they've told us all this time it will be in Summer, but it will be a better game - we can rest assured it's the best decision and won't turn out like SH3. Happy birthday for then, then! Nice coincidence. That really will be an excellent birthday for you. :)

That's fine, we normally wait about fifteen minutes for late-comers anyway :) And since you've confirmed that you will definitely be coming, we can wait as long as we need to.

I'm not sure whether you've taken a look now, but it says: If it doesn't say that, it's a script error, if it does, you'll need to tell me when you've logged in/out since that file was approved. We'll wait until next time anyway, hopefully it's nothing. The only issue is, I can see it.

It won't now as you've been logged in and out since the file was approved. When you logout (the same with threads) and that you haven't read get forgotten. By clicking the "[New]" link next to the corresponding category.
