Thanks for this! I don't seem to be able to edit the GR2 files with this, though, how can you load them? The option is always greyed out.

Mobile version of the forum?

No, you can't edit styles, you can only choose styles that are available. I look forward to seeing some of those screenshots. :) -
Duplicate Engineers Trick

Looks like it's some kind of a mod to me (see the link in the video description). The website doesn't appear to be live though, so I'm not sure how you will manage this since you can't download the files. I second @EaglePrince though - it looks like it's some kind of exploit. -
Mobile version of the forum?
Lord_Chris replied to EaglePrince's topic in Site Questions and Support
You can visit the site on a mobile, and it adjusts fairly well - however, it isn't perfect and I'm sure there will be some devices that can view it better than others. If you choose 'pantherone' as your style then it is fully responsive. -
How do you edit your websites source code for google analytics?
Lord_Chris replied to Andreas9541's topic in Computer Support
Good to hear the issue was resolved. :) -
I think you can also use Fire Ballistas, but I'm not sure about those. That's not a problem, it would be great :)

Great to hear! :)

How do you edit your websites source code for google analytics?

Looks like you're using WordPress, your hosts' advice will not be valid for it - obviously it was some generic advice ... See this link for WordPress specific: http://www.wpbeginner.com/beginners-guide/how-to-install-google-analytics-in-wordpress/ -
The challenges are starting to progress now, exposing you to parts of the game that hopefully you would never otherwise encounter. Your challenge for this week is: Create a custom load screen for Stronghold 3 symbolising a night raid on a wooden village. Once completed, upload it to our Gallery. The image can be in any format (other than bitmap), the colour schemes can be up to you - the load screen can be a mixture of a in-game screenshots, custom artwork, already existing load screens or anything you so desire! Useful resources http://www.stronghold-nation.com/article/195-unarchiving-stronghold-3-files http://www.stronghold-nation.com/downloads/file/349-modifying-utility/ Note: Your entry must be uploaded to our gallery by Midnight on Saturday to be counted in this challenge (20/2/16 23:59). Please also post a link to your image in this thread so we know it is part of the challenge The results will be revealed on Sunday. Good luck everyone!

This was indeed a very challenging map. I managed this on my second try, only because on my first I activated the dragons by going next to the ice blockade with the Lord. I managed to do it by using the cache of gold that was given to create two ice tunnel entrances, one next to the bridge and one in the estate, and I used the Lord and the Dwarf to go through the ice tunnel. They captured the Stone Circle and then I won. However, I'm not entirely sure this was in fact how it was meant to be done :D I went back into the map and started from scratch, and after a few attempts, remembered that you could build a wood camp without any wood. This was the point which allowed me to start the mission properly. Once I had an economy up and running, and a food industry going, I turned towards the dragons. I purchased two catapults, and after some time, I slayed all the dragons at no additional expense. It's a very good mission and you need to think a lot to get past certain parts of it. I gave you three points for this challenge, because of the level of detail, and the complexity to the map. As per a suggestion a few days ago, I have completed the results page, which can be found here: http://www.stronghold-nation.com/community/52-weeks-of-stronghold-winners/ You can also access it from the navigation menu on the main site: Community -> 52 Weeks of Stronghold Winners Congratulations on being entered into the draw once again!

I'm lost here, I have no idea at all why this could be happening. I've fixed something to do with attachments on the next version of the forum (Changelog), and when I download and use a fresh copy of that, it will work on there. It was a while ago though, so I can't remember exactly what it was that I changed now. In fact - it was when you reported that bug @Nigel. For now, is it possible to make do with logging out or opening another browser? I understand this is a massive pain, but it will probably be more of a pain for me to debug it and try to find out exactly what the problem is again, especially since I'm not getting it.

This is what I see:

I can see the map here just fine, I have no idea why you can't. I can also view it as a guest, are you sure you can't even view it as a guest? I've double checked the permissions again and you should be able to see it. What about the first one, can you see that one too?
-
Brilliant! Looking forward to seeing it. :)

Sorry for the delay in replying here, haven't had a chance to look at it until now. If you open up the file 'lang.txt' (in the same folder) what is your language there? I'm guessing it's the same as me, you have en. In which case, create a backup of en.xml, and replace that with the same file you downloaded as well as en-us.xml. This should work, if it doesn't let me know. I'll update the downloads page with information on this too. Also, would you be able to give me a link to the 1.1a patch download you used? I'll upload it here - since there seems to be no reliable source I can find for it, it may prove useful for those hoping to patch up.
-
Ok, I'll leave that file until you upload a corrected version.

How do you edit your websites source code for google analytics?
Lord_Chris replied to Andreas9541's topic in Computer Support
Well as I said earlier, it depends on how your site is configured. It's pretty much like the question how long is a piece of string. Is the site stored locally, or on a webserver? If it's local, just open it in a text editor such as Notepad, or Notepad ++ (free, which is what I use). If it's stored on a webserver, then your host should have given you some kind of FTP or online file manager you can use to edit it. -

Are you referring to Dreamweaver here? That's just software for editing files locally on your computer. It's expensive software though, and not all that good. -
The latest approved map is: http://www.stronghold-nation.com/downloads/file/398-necropolis-twins/ I can approve the current one in the queue and you can update that though, if you want?
-
Could you let me know the submission number so I make sure I get the right submission? The learning campaigns should be editable just like any other map, just make sure you copy it out of the steam folder first, and out them somewhere like your desktop, where you have full permission to edit, delete .etc, and you have a backup of the file.

Lord_Chris replied to Andreas9541's topic in Computer Support
Without knowing your website layout it's almost impossible to tell. Templates? Is there a template anywhere? I assume you'll be using PHP, so do you have the HTML in the standard PHP file mixed with it or have it separate? The Google Analytics code should go in the section of the document: https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/1008080?hl=en -
Here is patch 1.2: http://www.stronghold-nation.com/downloads/file/56-12-patch-update/ I can't find a reliable source for 1.1a, so let me know if you can't install it and I'll take another look.

Actually the attachment has been uploaded and I can see it here. I changed some permissions and you should? be able to access them now. Attachment permissions should be the same in each forum, so let me know if you still can't view or download them.

Wonderful, thanks! I'll see how quickly I can get some articles up, I still have some from @Tokamaps to do - massively lagging behind on my duties here :(

Great, good luck @Nigel! We're looking forward to seeing what you can come up with =)
